RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Maintain broad based technical and solutions knowledge in key data center infrastructure optimization and solution areas:
  • DataCenterstrategy, capacity, migration/consolidation
  • Platform Optimization: virtualization (VMware, MSFT, Xen, etc); OS:Windows/Linux; platform migration: Unix to Linux, etc.
  • Data Management:  storage optimization, consolidation, data protection
  • DataCenterFacilities Efficiency:  design/layout, power and cooling, energy efficiency, operations best practices.
  • Services Management:  ITIL v3 processes, best practices; virtualization/cloud  transformation

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Articulate the advantages of data center optimization and technology solutions as well as explain the competitive advantage and ROI achieved through various alternatives

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for ownership of their segment enterprise revenue, units and margin; servers, storage, networking and total solutions. 
  • Lead a team of field-based systems consultants around activity and engagement that drives enterprise sales results. 
  • Engage with senior sales, marketing and finance management in the day-to-day delivery of the business, as well as the longer term strategy and plans for the segment.
  • Direct a cross-functional team around supporting the enterprise business needs within the segment; marketing, services, alliances, business development managers, systems engineers.
  • Deliver quarter results across the various enterprise lines-of-business in three key areas; units, revenue and margin.
 
 
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of 10+ years experience in enterprise and/or technical sales.
  • Prior experience in technical sales management in the technology industry, with a track record of meeting a quarterly sales quota.
  • Strong process management skills.
  • Strong organizing, planning skills, and priority setting skill.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly through oral and written communications as well as formal presentations.
